Rauawaawa Kaumātua Charitable Trust is a non-profit registered charity (CC20570), governed and led by Kaumātua. We provide a range of culturally focused and accessible health, social and community-based activities, and services for Kaumātua aged 55+ in the Hamilton area.
‘Hei Manaaki ngā Kaumātua’
To enhance the quality of life and well-being of Kaumātua.
OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES
Rauawaawa Kaumātua Charitable Trust is guided by values and principles of whakawhānaungatanga, manaakitanga, wairuatanga, tino rangatiratanga, and aroha.
OUR FRAMEWORK
The Korowai Framework was created to enable the Trust, when setting its work standards, to emulate the same standards required to weave a korowai of quality. 🙋🏾♀️Kia ora e te whānau! ❤️
This is our invitation to you to be part of Te Puna o Te Ora and Rauawaawa's history.
For 85 years, Te Puna o Te Ora has stood as a place of manaakitanga, connection, and support for our whānau and Kaumātua from across Aotearoa.
As we prepare to celebrate this remarkable milestone on 21 August, we are also approaching the final stage of our decade-long Dementia and Age-Friendly Facility Upgrade.
Today, we invite you to become part of that legacy.
Whether you wish to honour a loved one, celebrate your whānau, acknowledge your iwi, hapu, team, organisation, or simply show your support, you can secure a permanent brass plaque on our Legacy Wall and be remembered as one of the people who helped bring this vision to life.
These plaques are more than a name on a wall. They are a lasting reminder that when our Kaumātua needed us most, our community stepped forward and helped us cross the finish line.
❤️ Limited plaques remain
❤️ Orders close 14 August 2026
❤️ Unveiled at our 85th Anniversary Celebration for Te Puna o Te Ora on 21 August 2026
